Well everyone its update time, but first let me say, "Good Evening!"
Well as you know we have all had the opportunity to provide input on our concerns over our HOA, and a couple of us had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Love, the developer of our community, and he was very receptive to what we've proposed.
We left the meeting with the understanding that Mr. Love will be contacting all the builders about the petition and our proposals on the changes that need to happen, including the ones on the blog. As for the ideas that didn't make it to the Petition2009 first draft, we will do a second rough draft on these suggested changes. We will then let everyone have the opportunity to provide comments or suggestions after gathering some insight from the builders.
The premise is to change (amend) our restrictive covenants to prevent prefabricated, modular, kit, or any type and design of non uniform homes from continuing, which we have agreed can not continue. We need to continue to support the idea of what we purchased into, which is for cohesive designs, quality, and appeal that will continue to attract prospective and future buyers for properties in our community.
Just know, that Turner and Son will need to be contacted to see if the two homes they currently have can be updated to a more conforming, uniform appeal, which meets the same idea and appeal of why we built and/or purchased our homes in SilverHawk. While I might be getting a head of myself, I think we should have something drafted; something with a grandfather clause to prevent lawsuits for existing homes. What are your thoughts?
With that being said, I think we have done well, and if we continue to work together as a collective group it appears we will accomplish what we have set out to accomplish, and save our community. So, be on the look out for the changes to our HOA CCR's by next week, and I will keep a lookout for your suggestions.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

No changes will be made. These type of structures meet "the minimum" as stated in the CCR's. We made a valiant attempt to restrict/change this. Not till the community is handed over to HOA can we do anything.
Several in the community are in talks with attorneys and have mentioned class action suits.
